In estimating the survey results, the usual resident population is used.
Information is presented without the data on districts from the left side of the river Nistru and municipality Bender.
Starting from 2026, the Labour Force Survey (LFS) questionnaire and methodology were revised, ensuring their full harmonisation with the relevant European Union standards (EU Regulations 2019/1700 and 2019/2240) and the comparability of survey results at the European level. Thus:
- Several additional questions were introduced into the LFS questionnaire, while some existing questions were further detailed, contributing in particular to an improved structure and flow of the questionnaire;
- The definitions of LFS indicators were aligned with EU requirements.
The changes implemented in the LFS in 2026 resulted in a more accurate determination of individuals’ labour market status. At the same time, these changes had a significant impact on the comparability of LFS data from 2026 onwards with the corresponding data for previous years.
